Great finds, I've got some old french military buttons. What do the numbers represent? thanks

kenb

Hey, that was my question...;D
Very nice digs, WTG!!!
Good luck & Happy hunting!

The numbers are those of the different regiments. The higher the number is, the later the regiment was founded (buttons with numbers higher than 100 are realy rare)

Amazing!! I found one here the 136 regiment. They were only around for one year (1813) but I can not find any thing about the value.? ????
