Did/does he do work with faceted Onyx? My grandmother who is 90 has a ring almost exactly like that she's worn for as long as I can remember. Only difference is hers is a faceted Onyx. I think she said she got it in the south west at a roadside jewlelry stand in the40's or 50's. She's always wondered if it was worth much.

Hi OP, it's the same ring I posted previously, the paua shell (also called abalone) on your ring just has a nicer color variation.
