My hunting buddy doesn't post so I'm posting a VERY unusual find he made yesterday. It's a 1937 class ring that must have been lost when almost new because it has no wear.
The unusual part is that a tree root grew right through it! ( The root & tree were dead.)
He found it in a large woods that border an older park.
Enjoy!
Dale

That is freaky, but also VERY COOL! I'd leave it just as is. Frame it and make up a horror story to go along with it. That'll scare the kids. ;D

That's a bit on the freaky side right there!! Amazing find...

Yea some of us are still wondering, Ia.FurTrade...is that a 100% confirmed tree root?

Anyway, very neat ring, congrats!

Nate, Believe it or not, in person it looks even more like a "dessicated" finger! :o
He emailed the "Ripleys, Believe It or Not" museum and they are interested in purchasing it!
How cool is that?!!

That's sweet! ...just a bit weird to think about what circumstances led to...however the find ended up like that... :icon_scratch: lol but yea congrats to him!

real nice find. strange how the root greaw through it.

Re: Very Unusual Class Ring find! Update

The ring has been posted on ebay for sale. Thanks

:D That is so cool! 8)

Nana :)

That is cool, ;D

You/he sold it !! ??? :icon_scratch:

Oh well, its yours/his do as you please. ::) However if that tree continued to grow the root would have grown right around it and the ring would be inside the root. Making recovery nearly impossible. Unless you wanted to hack away at the root to get inside. That's just to cool, the tree must have liked it..... WTG !! :D

Keep @ it and HH!! ;D
