✅ SOLVED Victorian era styled metal box

Found a metal box (I believe it to be silver) nonmagnetic and no corrosion. Unable to find any markings.
My guess is that this is a match box.
Looking forward to seeing what you folks believe I have.
Found next to the farmhouse my Great Grandpa x3 built after the Civil War. I’m excited to likely have found something that belonged to my Great grandfather x3 or Great grandfather x2.

Nive find. It is indeed a Vesta safe. Those corrugated strips on the bottom are striking surfaces for the matches. This eBay seller doesn't have it quite right. The painting on which the design is based was completed by Pierre Auguste Cot in 1880, not 1890 (unless he's guessing the item was made ten years later).

And learned something new. I didn’t notice the striking edges until you pointed it out.
Nickel coated brass.. That explains why I didn’t see sterling on it.
Great grandfather x3 passed in 1891, more likely this was owned by Great Granddad x2. (Joe)
