Hey Guys - anyone able to help with this?

We found these and logic says they are tweezers of some description. :icon_scratch:

They have a ring on the shaft at the top that tightens them (for grip?) And they retract (extra plucking strength?) :dontknow:

If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance.

:hello:

maybe they were used to pull bullets out of somebody

Looks like a Jewelers Pickup Tool.

The finder did not tell us the object's size, but if is what I think it is... I recognize it from my life back in the late-1960s/early-1970s as a pocket-model Roach-Clip. You slide the ring around the main shaft backward to allow you to retract the gripper-tongs into the shaft, then push the ring forward to keep them from sliding out of the shaft. (The thin, delicate gripper-tongs need to be retracted in order for you to carry the device in your pocket without damaging the gripper-tongs). I cannot testify that this object was manufactured to be a pocket-model Roach-Clip... but I do know for certain that some just like it got sold for that purpose at Head Shops "back in the day." They were about the diameter of a ball-point pen, but shorter.
