Vintage brass naval aviators ashtry

I picked up this nice ornate brass ashtray with a naval aviators insignia today at a thrift store for .99 cents. I'm thinking it's WWII vintage but I'm not sure. Can anyone give me a ballpark on hold old this one might be? Thanks in advance!
