IMG_2860.webp I found these behind the wall in my old house. I’m wondering about their value.

Interesting find. Is anything printed on the outside of the box?

I have a local buyer who pays $1 per pound for lead. Lead was used for all sorts of things throughout history. Yours are probably raw lead to be used as whatever the buyer wanted to use it for.....plumbing, bullets, weights, etc. Maybe a museum would want them for props? I don't know anyone who would collect ingots like that, but, I've been surprised before on what people collect!

google up, (Low background metal)

What do they weigh?
Certainly more valuable as a collectable.
Very cool discovery.

"Black lead" is graphite, a form of carbon. Could that be what these are? Graphite's used for lubrication and for pencil "lead" among other things.
They look like graphite to me also. How much do they weigh?

Carbon electrode cells
