Vintage wedding band?

Found this at my great grandparents property where there house still sits. Not sure if it's an old wedding ring are just a simple modern silver ring. Only markings I see is the word STERLING. Also looks like the jeweler are who ever tried to repair it or size it did a not so good job. You can see the solder seem joint.
