Well guys, these finds represent a couple hunts back at my site. Just another knockout weekend, no plates this time around, but a

great amount of bullet, coins, and buttons. This site also had alot of carved bullets which is another sign of daily life in the camp and soldiers carving up bullets. All told bullet tally for

this past weekend: 115 Bullets. I didn't think I'd hit another Virgin site this year that would top the one back in April but this one has definitely done that. Without further adieu, I'll

just post the photos so you can see, thanks for looking fellas and ladies  :icon_thumleft: :

These are some photos of some of the bullets out of the Pouch and still dirty:

There were alot of the usual CW Campsite finds such as these:

Carved bullet made into what looks to be a Bishop Chess Piece, some very pretty CW Tent Rope Tensioners, a couple Scabbard tips and a couple of Eagle Buttons still in the dirt clump

Virgin CW Site 16.webp

This one was a pleasure to see pop out, in great shape:

War of 1812-era Artillery Corps 1-piece Coat Button

This was a rare-"Bird" to find. An Eagle Button still wrapped in Linen:

These bullets are quite scarce to come by in this part of the Country, and this one popped out in GREAT shape! :hello2:

Here's a photo of it still Dirty:

This Campsite had alot of Carved Bullets, here's all of them plus a checkers/poker chip in a single shot:

On Saturday, I only had a couple hours to dig at the CW Campsite because Abby wanted to go to the Beach. So when I got done digging at the Camp, I left and went to the beach. I decided to do some beach hunting with the ole Whites BeachHunter ID that Rob let me demo for the summer  , why not, a nice change of pace, and a chance to cool down. Well, I ended up getting this 10K White Gold band after about 30 minutes of searching the surf. I'll Take It! :icon_sunny:

Re: VIRGIN UNION CIVIL WAR CAMPSITE: ROUND TWO!!

Excellent finds!! I've only found one untouched camp, and it was only filled with round balls, lol. Do you suppose there was a reunion there at one time? I noticed that there are quite a few "N.H.D.S.V." buttons in the mix. HH!
