Visiting the kids in San Diego for Thanks giving. Need some beach advice

Hello. I will be at Pacific beach by the pier for Thanks giving week end. I use A Excal with a water scoop. Looking for some direction on beaches to search. Thanks Joe

I vacationed there this summer and had a great time detecting early mornings and late nights. Met a few nice people out detecting. Pacific Beach up and down both sides from the pier.

Hi Joe There's about 4 miles of beach to hunt there. Just walk the beach and hopefully we'll have some surf to uncover the summers lost treasure. About 1/2 mile south of the pier you can walk two blocks over to the bay at San Rafael and have a another 4 or five miles of sand to play in. The kids can take you to Coronado and you can hunt in front of the Hotel Del, half an hours drive away. Good Luck and enjoy your stay. Jim
