you guys and gals should see a banana spider from equador ---they are totally scary & huge looks like a "super sized" trantula --or even better a bird spider they are size of a dinner plate ---hahaha---brought a texidery one home from my school teacher wife to put in the her schools display case---Ivan

Well done that man! - essentially the stories about camel spiders have been exagerated to scare the new guys when they first get to the Middle East - in the Aussie military we had similar stories about Drop Bears, Hoop Snakes and Whip Snakes.

Drop bears are particularly scary - my kids still don't know whether to believe me Drop bears are a vicious version of koalas that drop onto your back when you walk under their tree and wrap their furry little paws around your face to suffocate you.
