Daughter got some gift cards for her Bday. While she and Mom were ringing up the Barbies, I spotted a coinstar and sure enough...

2 Canadian coins and 59 cents in clad as well.

HH!

My son beats me to the coin star machine. He loads up on old and foreign coins. Awesome find

Good catch on the good looking 88 yr old, a nice keeper.

What is meant "Coinstar", ... is it that you just walk up and find coins in the reject opening in the front of the machine?

Yes. The Coinstar machine where people dump their coins for a cash voucher. There is a reject bin and silver always gets kicked out as well as foreign coins. Also dirty or damaged ones. People often forget to take them or don’t care to.
