Sunday morning we were detecting an old tavern that is now torn down....half hour into the hunt I get a great single with the ACE 250...just ringin' high silver...I was about 25ft from the foundation wall (this would have been "outside" the bar) ........I dig down about four to five inches and this beauty pops up out of the ground. 1944 Walking liberty half dollar..no mint mark.
The picture isn't all that great, but there is little wear and it just needs cleaned up a little more....The guys I was hunting with also found a few wheaties and I also found four more wheats and a 1954 Nickel and we all found clad after clad after clad...and yes..our pockets were full of junk as well...
