So I want to purchase my first sluice and I have been doing a lot of reading on a few forums but figured I would post my questions here it being area specific. Right now I have been hitting the creeks around Lake Allatoona but I have found a couple creeks off of ACOE land so I would like to step up to a sluice. I have pretty much decided I would like to get a Angus Mackirk(I like the drop riffle design) but haven't decided which one and I am wondering if anybody here is using or has used one and if so which one? Or if you have any other recommendations for the type of creeks we have here in this area? I understand that different sluices work for different conditions and conditions are all ways changing so I see myself owning more than one(LOL) I am specifically thinking of the AM "Foreman" Thanks for any info or advice in advance!

I'm looking around for a sluice box as well. I found one on Amazon for a good price. Its a portable 30" sluice. They have smaller ones as well... I perfer a longer sluice to run more yards of dirt.

I ended up going with a AM Recon and love it!

I think I paid around 80 shipped and very portable and light wieght! Plus I have it where I can set it up as a clean up sluice and run it at the house on the garage!

Oh okay... thanks! I'll look it up I may just end up buying one.

You won't regret it! Money well spent!
