Hello everyone, I love my Minelab Excalibur but the headphones that come with it does not fill good after a few minutes.

I have no intention of ever going underwater so can someone please suggest the best head phone to purchase,

Also which one would fill great wearing for 3-4 hour's at a time.

Thank's to everyone that reply's. :) :)

This can best be done by trying on various head phones at a dealer to find ones that are comfortable to your head. You then should send the unit an phones into Minelab to have them installed. Take note this will reduce the value for resale.

If you replace them, I would advise you still put waterproof headphones on it, or like Sandman says, it will lower the resale value and will limit who will want to buy it from you. I don't dive, but I would still want water proof headphones on a water unit I was considering.

Thank's guy's

I was wondering if all headphones would be compatible with the Excalibur.

i will look into buying a water proof headphone, i was not even thinking about that,

Thank's for the advice from both of you.

Now to find one that fill's good, and off to Minelab.

Ronald99...I just got my Excalibur back from Minelab...they modified the Xcal with a Ikelite waterproof connector .....I ordered my Gray Ghost underwater headphones from DetectorPro and they put a Ikelite connector on for me....with Gray Ghost headphones you can adjust the impedance to match the Excalibur , offhand I can't remember what the impedance is..Minelab will be able to tell you..I believe they even checked to make sure it's correct when they install the headphones ...the cost should be around $100 give or take a little....

I don't notice much difference in the audio quality between Minelab's yellow headphones and the Gray Ghost...my reasoning for the mod was so I could detach my headphones

hope this is helpful...... Rdi
