Does anyone know of a war, country not important. That occurred around 1645 and would have anything to do with a shipwreck located in the Florida keys. I am asking because I am trying to date a wreck and a Psysic said there was a major war going on and stated that year.

The Anglo-Dutch wars are dated to this approx. time: 1652-1654, and 1665-1667. As common to this period these were wars for the trade business, and colonization of the New World. Spain had been at odds with the Dutch since Admiral Piet Heyn captured the treasure fleet of 1628, and continued for decades.

If you can show pics of the artifacts from that wreck, we may be able to assist.
What have you found (if you're open to revealing)?
Don...
