war of 1812 belt axe?

I found what appears to be a small belt axe in an area which was known to be an encampment during the war of 1812.? Unfortunately it also happens to be a farm with lots of other items.? This was deep at approximately the same depth that I have found artifacts from 1814.? Does anyone have any info on this style of belt axe.? One end has a miniture broad axe and the other end is a square hammer.? Appreciate any help...Lance

Not sure of this but sort of looks like a shingling hatchet to me. That is if the left side[away from blade] is "hammer" like.

Nice find either way.

(being sold online as a repro)

Dug around Google a bit more; lots of mentioned of troops
and others carrying a belt ax, no good photos of an original
from the period early 1800's
