Maybe like this: STERLING SILVER USAF AIR FORCE PILOTS WINGS W/ STAR PIN 2" SIZE # 2 | eBay
It appears to be a post WWII US Air Force Command Pilot Wreath & Star Wing Variant Badge The badge has a one-piece wing with a separately applied star and wreath.
My concern is I believe the original is as it appears here:(scroll down)
US Military Aviation
The difference being the original has no backing behind the star yet yours does.
I'm no expert in this --far from it--just my observation.
Don.....

Yeap Don has it, it's a USAF Command Pilot wings.

Basic = Wings.
Senior = Wings with star.
Command = Wings with star and wreath.

Mike, take a look at my concern that I added in an edit. Did the originals come with a backing of the star or was not the star 'free standing' --without a backing?
All the best,
Don...

It was sometime in the late 60's early 70's they went from being silver to 1/20 silver, then in the late 80's early 90's they no longer were made of silver.

Don good point, didn't notice that, have seen some like that. Whether early or later style, real or fake I don't know, will have to look for that.
