Went to the forest today, the sun is up less than 6 hours here in
southern Finland, so I had to hurry before it got too dark. I found
two rifle shells, and piece of iron which I think is a piece of WW2
bomb. Not much finds, but it was nice trip in the woods.

I found same kind of bomb piece earlier this year about 300m distance
from this place. This was bigger and I calculate that the diameter of
bomb has been about 40 cm (15,7") . Here is picture of that.

Welcome from the UK.

As you say lovely mild winter. I was out today in a t-shirt :D

That's a nice pocket full of stuff! :)

What is the piece, 3rd picture, far upper right? I looks like half a sword-drag or bayonet sheath tip?

Welcome to Treasure Net!

I think you meant this item.

I am quite sure that it is decoration which has been on knife sheat. Rest of the sheat what was traditionally made from leather was vanished. It was found 18th Century house yard.

Welcome to TNet!

That knife sheath is nice!

Way to get out while the sun was up!
Nice yearly finds. ;D

Welcome to TNET!!! ;)

is that from the winter war against russia ? I've read stories on how the fins almost defeated russia using superior tactics and around the clock harrasment of their troops . you've got some very nice finds, can you give us a better look at the coins and tell us what they are and what denominations they are as well ?
