mp, sorry buddy, i be's in alabama and don't know where kings island is,. just hang in there and somebody close by will probably answer.
see if you can find a local metal detecting club to join and you can get much help there.
good luck with it,
tenclaw

thanks, I will look for a club

I live in Fairfield twnshp. Just a few minutes off of I-75, on Princeton rd. There are two clubs in this area. One is in Dayton Oh. Known as the DaytonDiggers. Also, one in Clifton area of Cincinnati. They do not advertise their club. K? Otherwise, Look into detecting at parks for practice. But be warned... Cincinnati requires permits for their parks. (Metro Parks & City Parks are two separate permits). Now, as for the Dayton area... No permit is needed to go detecting.

Oh yeah.... I almost forgot to mention Butler County. "Do Not"... I repeat.... "Do Not go metal detecting in Butler County". It IS illegal. The only exception to that rule is if you are on either your own property or on someone else's private property and you have (with you) WRITTEN permission. Ok? B/c Hamilton P.D. and Butler County Sheriffs WILL stop and check. It's an automatic $250 fine. =(1st offence). $250 fine & equipment taken.= (2nd offence) And $500 fine w/ up tp 30 days in jail.= (3rd offence).

Kings Island

I live very close to Kings Island. How can I help you?
