I found a 1941,no mint mark in my pocket the other day,I think I spent it.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Very cool find! It also looks like it may be an error coin with the obverse showing signs of de-lamination!

Thank you.....you're right about it being an error. Laminated planchets were common among the Wartime Nickels. This one is in the beginning stage. After the lamination went further, you could literally peel off layers of the metal.

Lucky!

Way to go, and all the best,

Lanny

I learn something new here all the time! I did not know about delamination. Thanks!!

That's the way it goes sometimes.....

Nice score- Congrats!!

How rare that is these days. Last unique thing I got was a planchet penny. Nothing on it. I later told the old fellow who worked at the gas station where I got it and he said that day he gave it to me in change he discovered a whole roll had a bunch of un-stamped penny's in it.

Nice find. They are still out there.

i can remember when Wartime Nickels were very common in everyday change. Times have changed.

Nice find. They are still out there.
Thanks TH.......few and far between but like you said, they're still out there.

Great find!!

I got one in my change a few weeks back. I swear the banks must be collecting pre 64 quarters. I haven’t seen any in over a year...
