Ok, so was making my rounds...as you can tell I've been active at these places since discovering the opportunities. Was done looking at the watches and an employee walked over and said "we had some gold come through." I asked to see the items. It was a small set of 14k bunny earrings prices at 29 dollars which were not even marked and maybe weighed a half gram....TOPS.

The next was a 10k ring that was marked 417 but was very lite and had a silvery accent to it, I passed...it was priced at 25. Maybe worth 17 in scrap.

So the last one was this necklace with pendant priced at 29. With a labeled 14k chain and 18k pendant. The pendant was heavy so I said I would take it. (With an acid test and return for in store credit in mind.)

The 14k chain weighed in at 1.04 grams

And the 18k pendant with stones at 3.25 grams

I was very lucky. Approximate scrap value is about 125...so it was worth the money in my book...what about You?

Not everything is over priced. You just have to have persistence and a good eye which you undoubtably do.
