Don't know if anyone followed the Costco corp lobbing to sell hard liqour in washington state. It was open today in a lot of grocery outlets. Washington state government didn't take a liking to sharing the monoply they had going! Crooks! Was talking to a manager of a store about it , he picked up a fifth of twenty three dollar whiskey and told me that it would cost the buyer thirty two dollars at the checkout stand! A nine dollar tax! Washington state is so full of politricking and screwed up. Oh well, FIRE UP THE HOME STILLS BOYS! Heard that the total increase was 52%,wow!

Their called "pigovian taxes." I'm not for prohibition, but for all the damage alcohol does to individuals, families, and society, the taxes probably ought to be higher.
