Washington sulks: "I really liked it where I was" UPDATE
It's been a while since I found a silver quarter, or multiple silvers in a day, but the streak ended this morning. At the silver farm, it was a fast start: nickel, dime and quarter in the first hole, all clad. This 63D Washington followed, then I was surprised by this 42 Merc. I had gone over the spot northbound and didn't get a whisper, but it rang loud and clear going south
. Two memorials and a wheat later, I had .78 but no more time. If I get a chance, I may sneak over a little this afternoon for the last .22
.
As I finished this post, I got a call from DrDetector about a house near my first school. I drove over for an afternoon hunt and easily got the last .22 and then some. Nothing special, exept for a lead toy horse. And I forgot to explain why Washington was sulking; after resting comfortably in the ground for probably 40+ years, he tried to elude capture. After a thorough hole cleaning, Mr. Washington appeared; he'll either go in an album or be used as trade bait later on.
