congrats on the finds, yea I myslef am a little iffy about going in the woods this time a year without blaze orange on, some people will just shoot at a noise be careful and hunt safe

It looks like it could be a good area to hunt. Your Teddy Roosevelt piece is a watch fob. In 1904, he ran for President in his own right, after ascending to the presidency in 1901 when McKinley was killed. There are many different versions of the fobs, but it is nice in that you can date the time span that you are looking in. Hope that you are able to find many more treasures there. HH

Thanks Nebstater.I can see 04 on the fob.To bad it got damaged.

Went through my collection, and the photo represents the closest fob that I can find that somewhat mirrors the one you found.

I have several others, but not too many for Teddy. Have several for some of the other candidates, so maybe I'll dig some of them out and take a couple of pictures and post them. I collect political items, so grabbing a few won't be too much of a problem.

Roger,

You asked for a few pictures of some more fobs. Here are 3 pictures of some of the fobs in my collection.

The first picture is a few more Teddy fobs. The one with the moose on it is from his 1912 run as a Progessive. The Bull Moose was the symbol of their party.

The second picture is of some William Howard Taft and a couple of Woodrow Wilson fobs.

The third picture is a few William J. Bryan fobs.
Hope you enjoy.
