Wasp Spider

First of all I want to say I'm not posting this to upset Felinepeachy . A friend of mine was delivering church leaflets and saw this spider on the door of one of the houses he was delivering to. He didn't recognize the spider and gave me a call to see if I did, it turned out to be a Wasp spider and although the bite is not fatal it can cause excruciating pain in the groin, according to the Natural history Museum. Being the brave man that he was my friend threw another spider in to it's web to see how fast it was, and it was fast. The spider now resides in a jar awaiting transportation to the NHM.
Sorry for the poor photography, but, again, I was using my cell phone and I wasn't going to get any nearer than I had to.

Okay, when you say the bite can cause excruciating pain in the groin, do you mean if that's where you're bitten? Or can you get a bite on the elbow and you get pain in the groin?

According to the spider experts it doesn't matter where you are bitten Peachy, the pain travels to the groin area.

Last week brought towels in off the line, folded and laid on the top of haqmper til I could put them up, took a bath as Igot out of tub put my hand over to grqb a towel felt somrthin and looked as I pulled hand back........... GRASS SPIDER! As big as the palm of my hand ! ............................ He went for a swim !
