Beautiful country. I took a picture of ice climbers in Ouray, Colorado and posted it here some time ago. Not sure I'd be up to doing any of it though.
The town of Ouray has really benefited by being a destination for ice climber's with in recent years. Now I have to stay in Montrose when I call on the mines up there. In the past Ouray was dang near a ghost town come winter and all, but a few motels stayed open during the winter and prices were cheap. Now the ones that stay open to serve the ice climber's are again expensive and full in the off season. I found the picture I posted that day. I don't think I'm daring enough to go ice climbing, as driving the road to the mine during the winter is daring enough for me in the winter. Most forks can't drive to where I took the 2nd shot as it's locked and gated at that point. It's pretty scary and many have fallen off the sheer cliff it travels along. If you were watching the ice climbing competition in Ouray, my nephew was there, too! Maybe he is in one of your photos!
