Rat snake. Should have let him stay, better to have one harmless snake than a bunch of rodents.

Aw man, I hate running across them things!
I watched an egret the other day, pull a little 18 incher or so, outta the back yard. whew, lol. :laughing7:
He had pulled a little one out the day before that. That egret is welcome here, anytime. :laughing7:

Would of let him stay but the girlfriend wasn't to happy about that lol.

Plenty of leaves in my portion of Minnesota, but fortunately not a single poisonous snake. But raking leaves is a totally unnecessary activity. Just run them over with the mower and let them feed the lawn.

This bad boy wandered into the building where I work (my office is on the other side of the door). No wonder nobody bothered me that day LOL.

Looks like a diamond back to me! Super nasty bite from one of those guys.

I mow my leaves and let 'em compost into the lawn.

Snakes: Not a fan of killing them, but not a fan of them near me and my loves ones. My philosophy is that all of God's creatures deserve my respect unless they decide that they want to move in. At that point they become vermin. If I can relocate them, no problem. If they are useless, i.e. mice, rats, wasps, ect, they get smited with majestic force and extreme prejudice by me. If they are squirrels that decide they like my attic, oh its on, and I get the fry pan ready.

Spiders get a heavy dose of 11D (my shoe size). Crickets too. I hate crickets, and they attract skunks and other critters.

I remove over 40 pickup loads of leaves every fall and then another 5 or 6 in the spring. I try to keep an acre around the house as lawn. The John Deere can't chew up and spit out all the leaves we got.

I saw 2 Garden Snakes at different times near my back steps where I sit and have a smoke in the last 2 weeks, I let them be and go on their way. They are harmless.
