water heaters

I have a Rinnai tankless natural gas water heater. I love it you never run out of hot water. Mine is a commercial model that will heat the water to 185 degrees if I want it to. If you have natural gas connected to your house, it's the only way to go. Natural gas is cheap and will continue to be cheap well into the future.

As for right now, natural gas is the best energy source available, if you have to pay for one. It will surely be used in almost all future systems, from appliances to heating to running your automobile on. The only one I like better is the solar electric, which charges a battery and uses it to heat the water with. This or the totally solar tank design will be my next water heating unit, for sure. Price is the biggest thing that sets these apart form most models. It will take a while to recoupe your investment, but once recovered, they are basically a free system, excluding maintenance and parts. Good Luck. rockhound

Another way to save electricity and money is by using a wash ball in the washing machine. www.classwash.com/en This will save you from buying detergent and fabric softener and also less water by not having to rinse after washing. You can also use less hot water. Good Luck. rockhound
