Waverly, NY fortification?

I don't know what this is - but it might be worth looking at....

Given it's geographical location, I strongly suspect this was fortified at some point in the past!

Check this web site. It is very possible Spanish hill. This is a very interesting area along the Susquehanna river and near fort Sullivan. It is located near the the PA. and N.Y border.
