Bad storms rolled through our area this afternoon. Tornado's in Raleigh and Sanford NC were bad. Lowe's home improvement in Sanford was leveled by a tornado. There was bad flooding as well. We were spared any damage or flooding in our part of Raleigh but others were not so lucky. 3 dead in mobile homes in Raleigh.

Wow, that's scary stuff! Glad everyone is OK. I have been seeing those tornado outbreaks on TV, while we are having a drought here in Texas.

Glad you are OK mate :icon_thumleft:, sorry for all the other losses though.

Sky Pilot,
Glad you made it through, man that hail is wicked, it wasn't nearly as bad here, Jamestown area. We saw lots of localized flooding, a lot of creeks were out of the banks, lucky no wind damage close by. I have cousins in Oberlin area of Raleigh, Sanford, Cary and Wilmington. Not heard any bad news yet so that is good news.
We used to hear of just a few "possible" tornados per year max. This line of storms alone, they are saying 60 plus. Those of us who were safe need to thank the man upstairs for sure.

I read about that Lowe's. I understood that there was quite a few folks in the store and the manager got everybody to the back to take shelter. You can see the front is demolished. No casualties there. Manager of the year, maybe.

Wow man...be safe u and ur family. And we complain down here when hurricanes come a few days of notice?
