Relic Hunting
A longtime friend who I used to fish with (Steve) is a veteran Native American artifact hunter who began searching for artifacts when he was nine years old. He invited me to hunt with him at a site where he had never hunted before but thought we might eyeball some good artifacts. He was right. Our finds for 4 hours hunting yesterday are shown on the tan towel and our 2 hour hunt results for day 2 are shown on the blue towel. If you can’t hunt CW relics, go looking for Native American artifacts. HH, Q.

OMG! That was awesome! I haven't heard that song in forever! Running Bear loves Little White Dove! Those are nice points and drills and the like. I have wanted to look for some myself and probably walked right over them. I want to find some for a T Net member too.

Thanks you guys that is awesome!

GREAT video and some excellent artifacts dug! You don't miss a beat with finding treasure year-round up there!

Congrats,

Buck

Wtg Mr Q. I never had any luck looking for points. Nice job.

Real nice hunt Quindy. I really liked the pickwick/ledbetter knife. It was almost worn down into drill form like the one you found in your second hunt. Here in the states we can only go back about 13,000 years with our hunts. You did well sir.

Thanks for the id. Richard. Using what you told me, I found it in Overstreet's book. You were dead on with the 3,500-6,000 B.P. dating. Bo knows football-you know artifacts. HH, Q.

Q, you know I have a love for Native American artifacts! You and Steve had 2 great days of hunting, and as usual, I enjoyed the video and the music!

:)

I wish those things could talk... Awesome finds..

Great job on the video Q, you guys did real good!!! I haven't went looking for points in a long time, I need to find a spot! See you soon.

Those are some awesome Tennessee points. Looking forward to this fall.

Thanks MSB!! I grew up on the river and we picked up points in tobacco patches while we cropped the plowed ground. No till farming has greatly reduced the volume of plowed sites and hurt chances of finding artifacts .HH. Q.

Thanks Will. You've got to take advantage of what is available. HH, Q.

I see your eyeballs still work! Nice pick ups Quindy. I have been finding points, knives, and scrapers off and on since I was 6 years old up on Fort Hill in Ligonier, PA. We would find them in the neighbors gardens and in the sifters during the excavation of Fort Ligonier. Then we graduated to the corn fields.....

Thanks OD, Breezie ( I do know how you like those artifacts), TJ, Bubba, Donnie, & Steve (N.A. artifacts are a nice bonus to hunting fields while detecting). Thanks all, Q.

Those are some great artifacts, Q! And that Steve...why he's almost as much a talker as Doug. You could hardly get a work in edge-wise. lol Howdy to Steve. :) Ya'll had a great hunt!
Nana :hello:
