can anyone tell me what the hallmark on this wedding band means. its stamped artcarved 14k.

thanks for the info guys. if you look at the character just to the left of 14k i was wondering if anyone could tell me about this. ive looked at some websites for the artcarved rings and havent been able to find one like it. could this mean that it is gold plated perhaps? or maybe the individual designer's mark.
