Weekend Silver Ring-N-Rosies

I went out on Saturday with Smittyman from TNet. It was very nice of him to take a noob out. I found some clad, a wheatie and this "Uncas Sterling" ring. The ring is really small, I assume for a child. The pic with blue/gray background is from Ebay, the ad said circa 30s.

I went out on Sunday to an old school. They had recently installed a new sidewalk, during the process some of the old top dirt was scraped off, and formed a little berm. It was full of gravel, glass, broken bricks and trash... however it also contained some clad, a 1944 wheatie, and two Rosies!!! They Rosies came out tarnished and nasty looking, but cleaned up well.

The Rosies are #4 and #5 for the year. I found all 5 in the month of April.

Thanks Beez0404. Smittyman is just being nice and trying to encourage me. I started out well, but faded quickly. He chugged along all day and ended up with more coins than I. However a fun time was had by all.

PS: We didn't see any snakes.

Well done Tom. Congrats on the Rosie's and ring. I would have never thought those rosie's were silver looking like that. You did a great job on bringing them back to life.

Yes, tis the season for those darn snakes here in NC. Be careful out there.

Thanks ModernMiner. When the Rosies came out of the hole, they did not look silver. You could see some silver flecks on them, but it wasn't until I looked at the date that I was sure.

As for those snakes, they better watch out for me!
