You can make a weight checker using a house dimmer switch. It will let you know before you take that long walk. Buy the one that has a dial on it. Put a magnet on the green wire. I used the corner of a magnetic card. If it does not keep the rods from closing turn the magnet over. Some people have put it in a nice box....Art
