Weird rock or a sweet indian artifact? Help..me...

Found this near a river in a creek runoff. I'm in Cuyahoga county ohio. It looked different than the other rocks which is why I picked it up. About an inch long 1/2 long and wide. Hard with age to it? Not metal hard but clay/rock hard. Wondering if it's an effigy or man made or just a stupid rock?
