I had some today that were mark, 1977, 1979( 1/2 )....1971, 1978 ( 3 ). Others were marked too, not the first time I've had them, won't be the last time.

I find marked 71+ clad rolls all the time, 71-72 etc...

I dont get it either buddy :/ other than america is a buncha dimwitted morons who are totally ignorant.(for the most part)

ive gotten cwr cent and dime rolls labeled: "1990x45 1999x5" "2004x10 2005x30 2008x10" and other weird stuff like that, but it was from one bank and deposited by one person. I don't know why people would do that either. I have yet to come across a roll with silver years written on It though.

Anytime anything is written on a roll it's a good sign. Date rolls are great because someone collected them, and then someone dumped the collection. Not always silvers, but always a good sign. Found a couple of date sorted rolls in dimes this week, my first ever. No silver but still very cool.

Those rolls with dates on them were someone's collection.
Later on, the collector or their heir, decided to cash them in.

I got some rolls the other day that were dated. They said "1971 silver-copper" and said the same thing for '72, '73, and '74. No silver was found, but someone was misinformed, haha
