Durn never seen anything like that,Although I do have one that has bumps on it. Kinda like it has air bubbles inside it..........HH

Its got to be the NJ soil/ salt. I have found quite a few like that in the bay where the salt has ate away at the copper core

that clad coin is junk , like all the rest of them .. stick to metal detecting, because the word out in the street is , you suck at golf
