Durn never seen anything like that,Although I do have one that has bumps on it. Kinda like it has air bubbles inside it..........HH
 

That is strange for sure, what that in the water? That's kind of what it looks like ???
 

Its got to be the NJ soil/ salt. I have found quite a few like that in the bay where the salt has ate away at the copper core
 

Definitly core issue, cigar is nice. Hope its CT broadleaf!

ticm , interesting :icon_scratch: did you find it in a sand trap at the golf course :dontknow: that clad coin is junk , like all the rest of them .. stick to metal detecting, because the word out in the street is , you suck at golf ;)

looks like a badly worn beach coin,have found pleny like it and worse.:icon_thumleft:
