Re: well fellow MD'ers, I took it a step further.......
Yes and no Bill,,,, a penny and allot of junk, bolts, caps, metal pieces..... Need to put more though into it, being the first time was kinda a test drive.
No, did not have the short shaft on this time but, will the next time....although it really wasn't to hard with the standard shaft...
Re: well fellow MD'ers, I took it a step further.......
JOe l,Feel free to elaborate(more story).Off which beach,what depth,who took the picture,
how did you get your gear to the beach, etc. Water looks great. Was like that Wednesday.
Wish I had used my gear, but a lot of hauling to get that done.Did you see any aquatic life.
Keep us informed. Had to sell my Sea Hunter before I could use it,but set it up once with
the stock lower rod and just removed the middle section.Came out about the length I like it.
Don't care to have the coil too close to the unit or the aluminum rod,or all the gear. Also
tell us what camera you used. Thanks Joe
Re: well fellow MD'ers, I took it a step further.......
OK thanks I would think it would be hard to fan the bottom for your target with the long shaft. Keep those reports and photos coming they are awesome...
Re: well fellow MD'ers, I took it a step further.......
Thanks all, Me and my dive bud, Nate, who took the pics. Our first Dive was at about 50' down to an old wooden boat. It sits on a steep hill which drops down to 90' I went to the boat but, will not dive deeper than that.
The second dive with the metal Detector was only down to 12' and it was off a swimming beach/ boyscout camp with a nice sand bottom. I would think perfect for detecting. Water temp at 57 degrees but, was comfortable. The MD dive we were down for about an hr.
It was right off the beach, which is off season so we parked right at it. Short swim out and then down. A new experience for me.
This opens up a whole new can of worms for me with my MD and now, can't wait for next season. JOe
Re: well fellow MD'ers, I took it a step further.......
Now I can't get it off my mind, up this way not allot of MD'ing competition underwater. Like I mentioned, opens up a whole new world. You divers in FL must love it..
Noe Mumszie, time to get fitted for that wetsuit and then off to certification class....
Re: well fellow MD'ers, I took it a step further.......
I am seriously considering this myself, and have looked into dive classes. I might have it done by next summer, but I don't want to dive real deep. I am chicken sh$t and saw pics of jew fish that could swallow cars. NOPE not for me.
