FRACKVILLE - West Mahanoy Township police said a man impersonating a pizza delivery person attempted to rob someone at Rodeway Inn, at 5:26 p.m. Monday.
Police said the impersonator shoved the man as he opened the door and demanded his money, and as the resident went for a gun, the impersonator stole it and fled on foot.
The victim wished not to be identified.
The impersonator was described as a white male, between 5 foot 7 inches and 5 foot 9 inches in height, weighed about 180 pounds, was wearing a red sweatshirt and did not have any identifiable facial hair, scars, marks or tattoos.
The firearm stolen was a model 38 Smith & Wesson revolver. Anyone with information is asked to call West Mahanoy Township police
