WOW!
What ARRC said x2!!
What I say is minimal compared to victims of major "natural disasters", but 5 September's ago, a major wind storm blew through here. The 75mph sustained winds were remnants of a Gulf hurricane . Power was knocked out for 3 full days. Luckily, due to a friend living within a hospital grid, I was able to charge my phone. ( I didn't have a small generator). Seemed like a mini Armageddon at the time.
It was an eye opening experience.
I'm not a "prepper" in any way, but after such a small incident, I now fully realize the implications of future events.
Peace ✌
Good to hear your '3 day experience' gave you a heads up. All it takes is not being able to 'flip the lights on'..Oh no!, We've no electricity...and most people are buggered..no way to cook, no light after dark, no warmth, no water/toilet, no gasoline (electricity draws our fuel from tanks underground!) or bank machines to buy food (what is left after a couple days), let alone our elders/family in need of doctors/hospitals....But, if "for real"...my cellphone would be the "Last" thing I'd be concerned about.
