I was getting a large cent reading on my Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II, and I dug more than a foot or two down. I couldn't believe it, an old buggy lamp! Such a cool find, It reads "Westchester Square No. 7" on the top.

OUTSTANDING find Joescollection2012!

Also, if I hadn't googled a picture of it when I was in the woods I wouldn't have known there was a door to it, which I found afterwards about 2 inches deeper just near there

Nice find!! It's awesome to see that others are also finding great items with their Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II. I never come home empty handed with mine!

Wow very cool find congrats:headbang:

nice find congrats HH

Wow, that's crazy! Congrats and HH!

Great find. You have a side light from an early brass era automobile,(Model T time frame). If the lamp is made of brass, even painted brass, it is of the earlier variety. Their should be a burner inside that was fueled wth acetylene gas from a generater that mounted on the running board and made the gas from dripping water on carbide.

Great find, and some models are worth some real money to early auto restorers.

Absolutely, and yes it is brass. Really happy with this find, it was 10 miles deep into the middle of nowhere lol and while I was digging I found this little guy here, also a rare find in my area:

Amazing! What a great save, and awesome piece of history!

Yeah I seen that on ebay actually, the glass was gone when I found it so unfortunately, no. The back part that holds the long hinge is still attached but the hinge is gone as well.
