I was figuring that I would have an awesome day seeing I had two great days on the beach with my Excalibur 1000, 26 coins in two days~!...It was great~!...Then today I went with Lori...AKA "she devil with a metal detector"...I figured I would be showing her what was up with my $1000 dollar unit...but much to my dismay she dogged me all over Camp Blanding which is an old military base...she was pulling up coins left and right and that was with two great little kids in tow as well..I was left in the dust...I didn't find a single coin and I think she was planting coins so I wouldn't go home empty handed...She was awesome and it was good to finally get out with someone to detect. I look forward to our next outting...by the way..I'm buying a Whites DFX tonight...and I'll save my water detector for just that WATER~!

I wish I was there so I could be worn out. I miss that area, I used to go surfing by NAS jax.

Have you evver been out to Oulustree (spell) the civil war battle ground..west of jacksonville 30 miles? I would like to find a place where I can come across some wheats...any hints?

That's great news, Flyboy...I'm glad you and Lori had a good hunt, even if Lori found all the goodies. It's always great to meet others from the forum for a little MDing venture.

Where's the pics of the loot? Hopefully "She Devil" will post them. :D

;) RR

My picture of my loot?...20 pop top can lids, 7 nails, 7 soda and beer cans. The only thing that was good about the beer cans..I have stock in Anheuser Busch...and all cans were AB product...Thank god~!

When I find a moment I will post the picture!

Know thy detector, and it sounds like she does.

I love my DFX, but you'll have a learning curve to really get the most out of it.

lots of help for a DFX owner through this book.

www.fielddepth.com.

Get the book, Digging deeper with the DFX by Jeff Foster.

Lori...I'm not taking a picture of my pull tabs~!...LOL...

Hey flyboy, DFX stands for dual frequency. This technology was bought by Whites from Minelab. I can tell you Minelab is not going to make the whites machine better than there own. The Excliber has 17 frequencies, I think, and is a great machine.

She just got lucky, better luck next time.
