Went out today for a couple of hours, and picked up a couple of nice ones.

[Old River]

Decided to go out, and hunt the field this afternoon while the trees shaded the field. Had a nice breeze blowing, and was able to come up with a couple interesting finds. One button, gun trigger guard part, and some bullets. The back mark dates the button 1827 to 1840.

Added the back mark dates. Thanks for looking.

Nice finds! Those flower type buttons were very popular before and during the Civil War especially among Confederate soldiers. The gun trigger is a nice find very cool and it looks like you got a nice head on hit on that 3 ringer. The picture is alittle blurry but the others look like some buck and ball and a couple musket balls. I'd say that was a nice little hunt for a couple of hours. Good Job bud! I have found several of those flower buttons here in Virginia! HH
