Went to Galveston Tx. today

what a wasted day, dadinlaw and i went to texas city dikes and then drove to galveston, i was really suprised at how clean the beach/sand was

we didn't even find any beer cans or pull tabs. anybody have any ideas were to hunt in houston? I think i have hit all the local school yards in the past 7 months....i have a total of $70 dollars +/- in quaters nickles dimes, i love my ace 250 so much i bought a second one for dadinlaw to use

he is hooked as well,

Where in Galveston?

Stewart Beach was raked twice this week and then the top was skimmed with a large front end loader due to a volleyball tourney. Monday is usually the best day to hit one of the parks as fewer people are here and the weekend traffic is higher. 576 cars today on Stewart. East had a few less.

stewart wasn't much fun friday either, got there early and there was a crew of workers picking up all the cans and bottles off the beach. got in the water hoping the cut i hunted last sunday was still there " found 5 rings in that cut" but it was gone. so i hunted the shallow water and wet sand, alot of targets but nothing good. maybe next time. hh

I saw you out there about knee deep between the sand bars. Wondered if it was a t-netter, but couldn't get down to ask. There is another sand bar just past that one, but a little deeper.

When I got done surfing Friday went to east beach, never tried my 250 on the sand. Well I didn't walk 5 feet before I hit a penny. It was almost dark when I got there so time was very limited, plus the mosquitoes turned on and I bailed. I'll definetly be back. Monday morning might be good after the Kappa crowd leaves.

I had a pretty good day today

$6.73 at a local school yard, I will add another topic today with a picture

I think I got sun burned yesterday $:-\$ and I was at east beach also for a short time....1hr. and no hit....I think I am going too try Corpus next time :wink:

Very little Kappa crowds. All on Seawall from 18th-39th as they didn't hit East or Stewart this year. Beach Week (Kappa) is pretty much dead.
