Just a question I have?

I am finding everything from penny's to quarters to trash even a token BUT NO! nickles.
I am using a BT IV.....SO...were are all the nickles??

There out there but less common than the other coins. You should find some when you hit the lower tone on the machine.

I see/hear this a lot, and very often too. Dave knows, so does Liftloop. Most people I meet use too much discrimination and run too much sensitivity. And if you want to find even more of nickels, a CZ is a beast! Aside from that, nickels were common in the late 40's and 50's because a Coke or a candy bar and many other things could be bought for a nickel, and the young guys were more bashful back then so they often would just sit on the fence and watch the girls - instead of walk up them to meet them. That's when the nickels would fall out of their pockets. Check along old lost fence lines and under big trees in parks, that's where I find most of mine. BTW, the old BFO's LOVED nickels. Larry

Yep, nickels are rare now-a-days. In 3 years I've only found a handful at best, while my dime, quarter and penny count is well into the triple digits. They're just not as common as they used to be, that and the fact that they ring off like a pull tab...
