We're back with more civil war items

Hi everybody, I've been unable to hunt much lately, but I got out with "diggervet jr. " this past weeks to some cw battlefields here in central Va. Best find has to be the 1862 indian head but the shell fragments and different bullet types have been pretty cool too. Anybody have an idea as to the identity of the "T" shaped heavy brass item shown in the grouping? I thought at first it may have been a keg tap but the tapered part isn't threaded like others I've seen. Any thoughts would be appreciated. It's good to be out in the field again! :D

Nice variety of bullets there! I also like the kepi buckle too.

I don't know what that T-shaped thing is, but I've found one too. It was at a spot where there were Colonial relics mixed in with the CW stuff--an old house site now long gone in the woods...

I always thought it was some sort of barrel tap...
