West Nile Virus Dead birds

For the last few weeks I have been riding my bicycle to work about 8 miles each way I startesd noticing a lot of dead birds from a quail to bluejays and a lot of smaller birds dead on the side of the road like 15-25 per 8 miles. Anybody know if this is West nile virus?

I also have noticed I live in a place were there are over 100 year old oaks It was a crows roost for the first ten years I'v been here the last 5 they are all gone so are the blue jays I called the Autobon society and thats what they said it was probably West Nile.. A shame. I had to buy a alarm clock now. never did find a dead one though
