Need more information like age value etc. The back of the button says "rosenfield bros Baltimore" i found it in westernport Maryland i was metal detecting

Rosenfeld Bros., Baltimore, Listed from 1865-1890 as clothiers and from 1892-1921 as proprietors of the New York Clothing house. Taken from "American Military Button Maers and Dealers" by Mcguinn and Bazelon

The McGuinn-&-Bazelon book on button backmark dating says the company "Rosenfeld (not RosenfIeld) Bros. Baltimore" was listed from 1865 to 1890 as clothiers, and from 1892 to 1921 as proprietors of the New York Clothing House.

No photo of the button's front is visible in your post. Is it just plain/blank on the front? If not, please show us the button's front. A "sideview" photo would also help, so we can see whether the button is flat or low-domed or high-domed.
