Went to Long Beach again this morning for a few hours. I was working the dry sand on the Ocean side of Belmont Shore, then hit the wet sand in the Bay area.
Mixed bag today.
Found a $2 Coin from Australia that is about the size of a thick Nickel (who knew!). Two rings; one junk and the other a good looking Tungsten Carbide. Empty Bowl from a Hash Pipe (has some thick residue though). Then the usual, coins, keys, toy car, and such. The coins that were deep in the wet sand are very ugly, they must have been there for a long time.
One good thing about scanning the beach early before light, I found a MLB Dodgers Hat just half buried in the sand. I'm not a Dodgers fan, and after tonight's game, nobody will want it anyway
